(1 Corinthians 12:7-11; Romans 12:1-13)

Stewardship: household, not owners, position of  trust, careful/responsible management)

1►God will give me what I need

2►when I give Him what I have! 

ME:      Music/singing natural; M and W and Adult Mins., Missions, pastor                       

WE:      “Where do I fit?” “What can I do at my age?” “I want to get involved, but what can I do?”           

What about church? Older, smaller, financial challenges; pressure to be like more successful 

GOD:    1 CORINTHIANS 12:1 – 2►“Now about spiritual gifts…           

3► (BEFORE)           

WHEN you were pagans…” Your focus was different; worshipped other stuff 

IMPLICATION:

WHEN you came to Christ you had an IQ, a Temperament, a Personality, and developed abilities (education and experience), etc. THEY CAME WITH YOU!  

4►God will give me what I need when I give Him what I have!            

5►(DURING)

1 CORINTHIANS 12:7 - “NOW… to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given FOR THE COMMON GOOD... “BORN AGAIN” (indicating that you’re new; everything changes!) 

6►God will give me what I need when I give Him what I have!            

7►(AFTER)

1 CORINTHIANS 12:13 - For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

ADOPTION: JOINT HEIRS WITH CHRIST; GRAFTED “SHOOTS”;

ME AND YOU??? 

YOU:    THE CIRCUMSTANCES that marked your life…THE WAY you came to Christ, have given you a PASSION. What do you REALLY care about?  What pushes your button, flips your switch, turns your crank, races your engine? What would you do, what would you be involved with, what changes would you want most to help make IF GOD GAVE YOU WHAT YOU NEED?

WHAT ABOUT OUR CHURCH? What do we have to give; who are we? If we give what we have/are, God will give us what we need 

8►1 CORINTHIANS 12:7, 13…READ ALOUD TOGETHER …to each one the manifestation of the Spirit  is given FOR THE COMMON GOOD... For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.

EPHESIANS 5:18  Be not drunk with wine but be filled with the Spirit  

9►WHAT IF?  

WE:

10►Imagine what would happen if each of us woke up tomorrow determined to give God all we have

11►and imagine what would happen if God erase all our excuses and gave each of us all we needed to do what we never thought we could (PICTURE IT, DREAM IT, MAKE IT A VISION)

12►and imagine what would happen if we looked closely at where our church fits within the household of faith and decided to give all we really are and have and let God provide what we  need  

QUESTION: Who are we; what do we have that God can use; let God decide what we need! 

13►God will give me what I need when I give Him what I have!
