On
Friday, February 11, 2005, I attended a business and finance
seminar sponsored by the American Baptist Churches of the West.
The seminar was held at Fresno First Baptist Church. About 30
representative from different churches ranging from Visalia to San
Francisco attended.
The
seminar was very informative and I acquired additional knowledge
regarding church business. A video was presented titled, "Update
for Church Leaders", regardingproperty
usage, securities, employment practices, labor laws and estate
planning. Lectures were given regarding sexual misconduct, stock
donations, fund raising ideas and new California laws.
I will
be sharing this information with our church leaders. If you would
like to receive a copy of any of this information, please let me
know.
