Dear Friend,
With thousands more troops preparing for deployment to Iraq, requests for Rapid Deployment Kits continue to pour in. While many requests arrive from military chaplains, we are also getting emails like this one sent just this month:
"My husband is in the Marine Corps and is serving in Iraq for the next few months. I was wondering if I could submit the names and addresses of all of his team and company with my donation, to send them RDKs specifically. I would love to see all of his team turn to God for salvation."
These Kits - filled with New Testaments, daily devotionals, and evangelistic tracts — truly are one of the best ways to reach service members for Christ. To learn more about how you can help spiritually equip our troops for the challenges ahead, click here.

Thank you so much for helping to reach our men and women in uniform.
Blessings in Christ,

Song of the Month

Grace Alone

Every promise we can make

Every prayer and step of faith

Every difference we can make

Is only by His grace.

Every mountain we will climb

Every ray of hope we shine

Every blessing left behind

Is only by His grace

Chorus:

Grace alone which God supplies

Strength unknown He will provide

Christ in us, our cornerstone

We will go forth in grace alone.

We will go forth in grace alone.

Every soul we long to reach

Every heart we hope to teach

Everywhere we share His peace

Is only by His grace.

Every loving word we say

Every tear we wipe away

Every sorrow turned to praise

Is only by His grace.

(repeat chorus)

Book of the Month

**For Immediate Release**

Local Author Releases New Book

Tale of a local family's adventures in the lands of Genghis Khan

McKinleyville, CA - "There's a Sheep in my Bathtub"

272 pages, paperback
Author:  Brian P. Hogan
Publisher: Asteroidea Books (www.AsteroideaBooks.com)

There's a Sheep in my Bathtub is the story of an American family (the author's) as they survive and even thrive in the bizarre and topsy-turvy world of post-communist Mongolia from 1992-96. The Hogan family served as English teachers and worked in Asia largest copper mine in addition to helping start Mongolia's first movement of multiplying fellowships of Jesus followers (now numbering over 40,000). Replete with photo illustrations, this humorous and, at times, heart-wrenching memoir chronicles an intensely personal bird's eye view of the cataclysmic changes that sweep Mongolia after the fall of totalitarianism.

You will laugh, you will cry, but you will not be able to put down this adventure at the ends of the earth.

Quote of the Month

“Whether we like it or not, we base our lives on beliefs.  We are presented with many alternatives, and our beliefs must play an important part in which paths we choose.  But beyond…an acceptance of whatever beliefs our society, our environment, our friends might program into us, we must actively seek Truth and find good reason for our belief.”  (University student, quoted by James Sire in his book, Why Should Anyone Believe Anything at All?)
